Background ReportsThe reports on this page provide significant background information and data that was used in the findings and topics being reviewed in the Portland Plan. The first file listed under each report photo is the full background report for the topic. The Overview file provides some background, key findings, and recommendations; and the Snapshot is a one page brief that captures the essence of the specific background report.
Based on community input and technical review, some of the background reports have been revised and updated to more accurately reflect the existing conditions within the city. The Planning and Sustainability Commission will hold hearings on the revised background reports, and the entire set will go before City Council in early 2012.
