I concerned about the potential life-safety hazards associated with some marijuana businesses. The application requirements include proof of finalized building permits for all business. This requirement is for all businesses in Portland regardless of type. The local marijuana regulatory code requires proof of compliance in order to issue a Marijuana Regulatory License for a business to operate legally within Portland city limits. This requirement allows us to be proactive in minimizing the possibility that licensees would be operating out of compliance with the Building Code and/or Zoning Code.
