The Cutest Thing Involving a Bucket of Water I've Ever Seen - Printable Version - February 4, 2009 - 0 Comments

I pulled this story off our Twitter feed this morning and couldn't be happier I did. Please look at this photo and just try to tell me it's not the cutest thing you've ever, ever seen...or at least the cutest thing you've ever seen involving a bucket of water...

A hot baby koala, desperate for a cold bath.

Yes, that's a real koala baby you're "awwwing" over right now, basking in a cold bath of Australian water.

According to the article, "Baby koala bear beating the heat in bucket of water an email star," said koala bear was inadvertently abandoned by his mother who was overcome by a ferocious heatwave in Victoria last week.

A family spotted this little guy shaking and sickly, underneath a verandah on their property and immediately began trying to feed it water from a bowl. According to the homeowner, "Eventually it realised the water was in the bowl and it just climbed in itself."

A neighbor found an older koala on her property, also hiding from the heat and upon providing her with her own dish of water, "...she just drank constantly."

Both animals are currently in the care of wildlife officers who plan to rerelease them back into the wild.

It seems like truly everything needs water to survive; be it animal or human. (or tree or plant or ...)
