Dodge Park is a very popular fishing hole with its scenic location at the confluence of the Sandy and Bull Run rivers.
Camping is now closed for the season. Reservations for next camping season are possible during business hours, 503-823-2525. The small scale campground has been built away from the river to continue to allow full public access to the river's edge. There are 20 sites total, 15 walk-in tent sites (parking in designated spots) and 5 RV sites (no hook-up). Campsites are $20 per night, plus an $8 reservation processing fee (available first-come first-served if sites are not reserved in advance with no fee). Sites are limited to one vehicle, extra vehicles are $5. Firewood bundles are also available for $5. A volunteer camp host will be on site to assist campers again next season. View our campground map for site locations.
Rent the Community Hall Last year's renovations have brought new life to the historic building. Improvements have retained its historic look and feel, while updating it with modern amenities. Building renovations include restrooms and showers, a food prep area, and a dining hall. The community hall is available by reservation during the camping season (including a small prep kitchen) by calling 503-823-2525 during regular business hours ($60 for half day, $100 for full day, plus a $100 deposit (includes a $25 reservation fee).
Park Information The Portland Water Bureau proudly owns and maintains Dodge Park and has been restoring the park to its former glory (alas, without the "Picnic Train").
Dodge Park is a 14-acre park where the Bull Run River flows into the Sandy River. Crowned with tall trees, carpeted with green grass, and lined with a sandy beach, the park has been a refuge and picnic spot for people from the Portland area since the early 1900's.
Dodge Park is open to visitors for spring and summer picnicking, fishing, volleyball, or just listening to the songs of the rivers. The boat ramp is also a popular put-in for rafters, kayakers and driftboaters to float down to nearby Oxbow Park. Boaters should check out the Sandy River Water Trail guide online.
