Brent is definitely correct. Regarding "mainstream media", I immediately recalled an Economist article I read a while back which ends with the following paragraph: "Yet in the past few years a backlash against bottled water has gathered pace, with some upmarket restaurants deciding to offer only tap. Gisele Bundchen, a supermodel who has campaigned to conserve fresh water in Brazil, now sports a reusable metal water bottle. What waiter could complain about that?" http://www.economist.com/books/displayStory.cfm?story_id=11745584 (subscription req'd)

Interesting perspective -- I wonder if that's true... (that's she's tied in with the bottled water industry)?? It is certainly a controversial place to be putting one's self... JDB

Why listen to the mainstream, anyway? There are far more interesting tributaries that I prefer to follow...

Sounds like the bottled water industry knows how to tweet too.

I like your positive train of thought, there, Colleen... I also, agree... I'm not sure it's all about the mainstream... Lots of change in our country seems to happen with our without the mainstream! Thanks for responding!

Who exactly is "mainstream media"? Fox news? I have seen articles in The Times, Washington Post, etc. discussing the pros and cons. They seem fairly mainstream to me. Without or without mainstream media support, however, most of us have the sense to make wise choices. There is nothing particularly wise about choosing bottled. |

I think @Bottledh20babe is a shill for the bottled water industry.
