In April 2008, more than 250 people attended five district workshops held throughout the city. The purpose of the workshops was to get public feedback on the potential SSCP corridors currently undergoing further technical analysis (identified on this map) and to give community members the opportunity to form District Working Groups to undertake a two-month study of potential streetcar corridors currently identified in each district. This "district" approach to evaluating public support for potential streetcar corridors has been developed using districts defined by the Bureau of Planning and Sustainability (BPS) through their District Liaison Planning program.
