CITY COUNCIL ADOPTS BICYCLE PLAN

Portland's City Council voted unanimously to adopt the Portland Bicycle Plan for 2030 on Thursday, February 11, 2010.

Staff is currently revising the plan to incorporate all changes adopted and a final plan version should be available soon.  Meanwhile, here are the changes to the final draft that will appear in the adopted plan:

What's New

How is the new bike plan being implemented?  Open Houses are underway for several new bicycle boulevards, the first step in implementing the plan!  The Bureau of Transportation is also gearing up to develop other new bikeway projects.

 

When did it pass?  City Council voted 5-0 to adopt the Portand Bicycle Plan for 2030 on Thursday, February 11, 2010.
