Matt has been working with Dan since his first campaign for City Council. He assists the Commissioner in managing the Bureau of Development Services (BDS) and is a good point of contact for development, landuse, and code-related inquiries. He's also the point of contact for City Council Agenda items around transportation, parks, and planning. Matt has advised Dan on numerous city budgets and is an excellent resource for budget information.
Matt has a BA in Political Science from Southern Oregon University, and grew up in the heart of the Mid Willamette Valley, the sorely misunderstood and great town of Albany Oregon. While in college he interned for Senator Ron Wyden, and after moving to Portland in 1997, became very active in local politics and environmental initiatives. While growing up in Albany he became a lifetime Trail Blazers fanatic and now must live with those consequences. |
