Action Area Directions and Objectives

  Now with Commenting!

During Phase One of the Portland Plan process, we heard that jobs, education, equity, public health and sustainability are important to Portlanders. It’s time to take the next steps.

For Phase Two, we’ve combined the input from Phase One — as well as the ideas and values Portlanders expressed through visionPDX — with information from extensive background research to develop the following draft directions and objectives.

What do we mean by directions and objectives?

Directions are the big goals we would like to achieve by 2035. Objectives are the specific things we want to make happen by 2035 to meet our goals.

Review the draft directions and objectives for each action area:

Prosperity & Business Success
Education & Skill Development
Sustainability & the Natural Environment
Human Health, Food & Public Safety
Transportation, Technology & Access

Equity, Civic Engagement & Quality of Life
Design, Planning & Public Spaces
Neighborhoods & Housing
Arts, Culture & Innovation

We will use your input to refine these draft directions and objectives. In the next phase of the Portland Plan, we will work on prioritizing the directions and objectives and creating strategies.
