Events and Meetings
The Bureau of Planning formally launched the Portland Plan through a series of events in May and June 2008, including neighborhood meetings in May, a Leadership Summit on June 6, and two Community Summits on June 14. These meetings were meant to inform the public about the Portland Plan as well as inspire our community to help create the next generation of visionary planning for Portland.
From late January through mid June 2008, City staff and others met with more than 1,500 individuals from a wide variety of community and interest-based groups, held 16 public meetings that included 56 small group discussions, attended 30 other types of meetings and received hundreds of comments via workshops, surveys, e-mails and the web.
