Special guests featured at Beaumont Middle School workshop for Portland Plan Phase II
- May 6, 2010
Portland Public Schools Superintendent Carole Smith welcomed the crowd at Beaumont Middle School on Thursday, May 29, and introduced Principal Elizabeth Casson-Taylor to the crowd of Portlanders. Neisha Saxena, attorney from Disability Rights Oregon, spoke about universal design during the equity presentation (http://www.disabilityrightsoregon.org/). Debbie Bischoff (NE District Liaison) and Marty Stockton raffled off a Pastini Pastaria gift certificate, Urban Growth Bounty 2010 class, Chinook Book and PP t-shirts. Recesstime Dodgeball was active in the gym next door, and some of the players filled out the Phase II survey before and after games.
See how the plan’s actions and the City and partners’ strategic investments can transform our community – from our schools and neighborhoods, to jobs and the environment.
