| Senior Locks Program
You may be eligible for free locks from the Portland Police Bureau.
The Senior Locks Program installs free deadbolt locks and other security hardware on houses of eligible senior homeowners. This program is funded through the Portland Police Bureau and the Bureau of Housing and Community Development.
Trained home security specialists will be sent to eligible homes to perform the following security procedures:
While these security precautions do not guarantee that a house will not be broken into, studies have shown that even minimal security measures can reduce your chances of being victimized.
To qualify you must:
*For persons who are disabled or have been the victim of crime, we can waive the age limit and move up to the 80% income level.
