In cooperation with neighborhood crime prevention and other neighborhood clean-up efforts, Information Line staff collect data on locations with graffiti. During certain critical incidents, the Portland Police Chief activates the Rumor Control Line operated through the Police Information Line to give accurate information to callers. Hours of operation vary, depending on the situation.
