Graffiti Hotline, 503-823-4824 In cooperation with neighborhood crime prevention and other neighborhood clean-up efforts, Information Line staff collect data on locations with graffiti. This information is then distributed to neighborhood coalition offices and sites are monitored and updated if they have been cleaned up. The hotline was designed to provide a central clearinghouse for community members to report graffiti and to provide up-to-date data to people conducting clean-up efforts.

Rumor Control Line, 503-823-4636 (Operated only during area emergency situations.) Major emergency situations or area disasters sometimes create situations where rumors can spread through the community and make matters worse. Getting correct information to the community is important. During certain critical incidents, the Portland Police Chief activates the Rumor Control Line operated through the Police Information Line to give accurate information to callers. Hours of operation vary, depending on the situation.
