Single Family Home Rehabilitation Project The Portland Housing Bureau (PHB) is issuing a Request for Proposals for the purchase, renovation and resale of 20 single family homes.
Eleven homes are located in the Lents Urban Renewal Area (URA) and nine homes are located in the Interstate Corridor URA. This goal of this initiative is to support affordable homeownership for first-time homebuyers, while providing Minority, Women and Emerging Small Business construction jobs and closing the minority homeownership gap.
The homes are being offered to developers four bundles of 5-6 homes. PHB will provide 100% financing for the acquisition and renovation of these homes with Urban Renewal Area (URA) tax-increment financing (TIF).
RFP’s are due on September 2, 2010. An information meeting was held from 1 to 2:30pm on Monday, July 26 at the PHB office, 421 SW 6th Ave. (5th floor).
Prior to submitting the RFP, proposers will have an opportunity to inspect each home. Each home will be available for inspection from 9am to 4pm on the following dates.
Development teams interested in inspecting any of the 20 homes will need to complete a permit of entry form and a signed waiver and return them by fax to PHB: 503.279.3992.
Upon receiving the completed forms, Solicitation Coordinator Art Hendricks will provide a combination code for the lock box located on each of the houses. To receive the combination code, email Art Hendricks or call 503.823.4623 (office) or 503.381-5126 (cell)
