2008 10-YEAR PLAN TO END HOMELESSNESS RESULTS
 
Please read the 2008 Annual Report of the 10-Year Plan to End Homelessness in Portland and Multnomah County (click on "4th Quarter 2008 Ten Year Plan Report"). Our community continues to make tremendous progress. Among the successful outcomes in 2008:
  • 285 homeless families with children moved into permanent housing
  • 515 chronically homeless individuals moved into permanent housing  
  • 682 households were prevented from becoming homeless through the provision of rent assistance (90% remained housed after 6 months and 82% at one year)
  • 378 units of permanent supportive housing were added to the development pipeline
