Trails

Fanno Creek Greenway Springwater Corridor Marine Drive Trail
Portland is home to a projected 220 miles of regional trails laced together, connecting people to each other and to the natural beauty of our city. We are working to make sure Portland residents and visitors have this environmentally-friendly mode of transportation.
Current trail closures

Our trail system is made up of three kinds of trails:

  • Regional Trails connect Portland to adjacent communities and to regionally significant features such as rivers and streams.
  • Community Connectors link important land uses and areas of interest, often within a neighborhood, typically using street rights-of-way.
  • Local Access Trails provide connections to local features, such as parks, community centers and schools. This includes most routes within park and natural area sites.

Springwater Corridor

A section of the trail will be closed from SE Umatilla north to SE Spokane through February 2010. The detour is from Umatilla north on SE 7th, then west on SE Spokane to connect back to the trail. Detour map  Project Info
