Neighborhood Coalition Directors and Chairs Group

The directors and board chairs of the seven neighborhood district coalitions and ONI staff meet every month to discuss “critical administrative, budget, policy, and program issues” related to the coordination of Portland’s citywide neighborhood system.

The ONI Standards include coordination of these meetings as part of ONI’s role in supporting the neighborhood system. (2005, p. 25)

The district coalitions take turns hosting the meetings at their offices. The agenda for each meeting is developed collaboratively by the host coalition director and ONI staff.

Meetings generally are held from 12 Noon to 2 p.m. on the second Thursday of each month.

Occasionally, the group will schedule an additional special focused discussion session on a topic of interest to neighborhood coalition directors and staff. These discussions are scheduled for 11 a.m. to 12 Noon on the day of the regular meeting.

If you have questions about the Directors and Chairs meetings or would like to share information with the group, contact Paul Leistner ONI neighborhood program coordinator, 503-232-3888, paul.leistner@portlandoregon.gov.
