Beaumont-Wilshire is an older, well established neighborhood with a strong sense of community. It has a nice mix of residential and commercial property. The main road through Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood is NE Fremont Street, and the primary commercial focus is "Beaumont Village", between NE33rd and NE 50th. The neighborhood was platted and first developed in 1910. According to 1996 Census data, the neighborhood consists primarily of owner-occupied, single-family housing, with approximately 5,463 residents
