What you will learn:

Learn more on how Portland Community Media can help you get your message to the community through effective and creative use of media. Workshop will share real world examples of local groups that have used video and media resources to inform, educate and engage their communities.

 

What is Portland Community Media:

PCM is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote broad participation in civic and cultural life by encouraging effective use and understanding of community media. PCM has proudly served the local metropolitan area for over 25 years, empowering individuals and organizations with the skills and resources to use the cable television system as a means of communication and community development.

 

PCM's purpose can best be described with three words - Educate, Communicate, Participate.

 

Who should attend:

  • Neighborhood or community leaders who want to learn more on how to use community media as a tool for engagement and as part of their communications and development strategy.
