Building Leaders, Building your Board: Best Practices for Effective Neighborhood Associations

Tuesday, January 29th

6:30pm

Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods

4815 NE 7th Ave.

Portland, OR 97211

  • Are you interested in learning skills to improve the effectiveness of your neighborhood association?
  • Do you want to share ideas with association members in our area?
  • Do you want to be more effective in your role as a board member?

If so, this orientation is for you! We welcome those who have just joined their neighborhood board as well as long-time members who would like to brush up on the basics. This fun and interactive training will be relevant to anyone involved with their neighborhood association.

Topics will include an overview of Portland’s community involvement system, NECN’s information sharing and advocacy model, board roles responsibilities and regulations, ways to make your meetings welcoming and small group discussions on common neighborhood challenges.

Hope you can join us!
