Street improvement closes lanes on North Fessenden Street for three weeks beginning Tuesday

(PORTLAND, Ore.) – The City of Portland Bureau of Transportation advises the traveling public that street improvements will require intermittent lane closures on North Fessenden Street between North Saint Louis Avenue and North Columbia Way for three weeks beginning Tuesday, December 4, through Friday, December 28, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. week days. The public is advised to expect significant delays, travel cautiously, observe all lane closures and directions by flaggers, and use alternate routes if possible.

Traffic will be limited to one direction at a time in the construction zone with flaggers.Work will begin in the eastbound lane of North Fessenden Street at the west end of the project at North Saint Louis Avenue. Upon reaching the east end at North Columbia Way, work will continue in the westbound lane back to North Saint Louis Avenue.

Local access will be provided to residences and businesses, and sidewalks will be kept open.

This work is weather-dependent, and the schedule may change.
