Celebrating 30 Years of Neighborhood Activism and Involvement - 1974 to 2004
 
 
Throughout the year Neighborhood Association Chairs or representatives will be invited to report to City Council to highlight the successes and challenges of their Neighborhood Association.  These will be part of the "Communications" agenda that takes place every Wednesday Council meeting, 9:30 AM Time Certain, City Hall, 1221 SW 4th Ave.   Mayor Katz supports this effort to hear from as many Neighborhood Associations as possible in the coming year.
 
Information you need to know to schedule "Communication" presentation time before City Council:  
  • These presentations will be part of Council’s "Communication Request" which are the first item on the Agenda and are taken promptly at 9:30 AM.
  • The Council Clerk, Karla Moore-Love, needs to have you scheduled by 5:00 PM, the Thursday before the following Wednesday meeting.  She highly recommends that people contact her two weeks in advance to ensure you get on the schedule.
  • You will be listed on the Agenda as a "Communication Request".
  • A total of five Communications may be scheduled for any one Wednesday.
