• Is your bureau diversity committee outstanding? 
• Do you know someone who's made a spectacular contribution to diversity?

Nomination Instructions:

The City of Portland's Diversity Champions Awards recognize outstanding achievements that contribute to diversity in the workplace and create an inclusive environment. Awards will be given to a bureau, a diversity committee and an individual employee for accomplishments in the 2008-2009 fiscal year. 

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING NOMINATIONS FOR . . .

INDIVIDUAL CONTRIBUTOR:  Bureaus, diversity committees, employees, and employee groups may nominate an individual for extraordinary contributions above and beyond normal work assignments.

DIVERSITY COMMITTEE:  Committees, bureaus, or individuals may nominate a committee  for outstanding work in diversity that benefited the City or their bureau. The achievement must go beyond what is expected of the committee's usual work assignments.

BUREAU:  Bureaus may nominate their bureau and bureau director for extraordinary achievement but not for the work done by the individual contributor or committee that may be nominated for this award.

The City will recognize and honor the winners and present the awards at 16th Annual Northwest Public Employees Diversity Conference, on October 27, 2009 during the luncheon.  We invite you to attend the conference and celebrate the winners' accomplishments.
