The Good Faith Effort Program requires prime contractors to make an effort to provide subcontracting opportunities to state certified Minority-owned, Women-owned or Emerging Small Business (M/W/ESB) firms.  The prime is required to contact state certified firms by fax or letter and phone for those divisions of work specified by the City at the time the contract is put out to bid.  Efforts to contact and work with certified firms must be documented to the City.
