Classification & Compensation
BUREAU OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Classification and Compensation is responsible for developing and managing the classification and compensation plans, and overseeing the performance appraisal system for the City. Class/Comp conducts periodic large classification and compensation studies for employee groups; performs job audits of individual positions; classifies new positions; establishes new classifications; and establishes compensation and classification policies. Class/Comp also provides consultation to the bureaus, publishes the compensation plans, and develops, manages and provides assistance to bureaus regarding the performance appraisal system for non-represented employees.
