Ann has over 25 years experience working on environmental policy, economic development, land use planning and sustainability issues. She has worked for federal, state, county and city governments including serving as Sustainability Director for the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She also worked for Oregon’s Land Conservation and Development Department and for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Wetlands, Oceans and Watersheds in Washington, D.C. Ann has a B.S. and J.D. from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, and an M.A. from Washington State University. She loves to bike and hike and be on the water and is a life-long Cubs fan.

Rick has a background in water and natural resources management. He started with the City of Portland's River Renaissance program in 2007. Before that he served 7 years as the executive director of Governor John Kitzhaber's Willamette Restoration Initiative (WRI), a non-governmental organization dedicated to restoring the health of the Willamette Basin. Rick also worked at the Oregon Water Resources Department for 12 years, overseeing legislative matters, public information and strategic planning. Rick used this experience to write the Oregon Water Handbook: A Guide to Water and Water Management (OSU Press, 2006). Rick has a B.S. in Earth Science and an M.S. in Geography from Oregon State University.

Kevin has a background in urban planning, waterfront development, and natural resources management. He has worked for the City of Boston Environment Department, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, Columbia River Gorge Commission, and was Vice President of the Central Cascades Alliance. Kevin came to the Office of Healthy Working Rivers from the Bureau of Development Services. Kevin has a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Oregon and a BA in Geography from Framingham State College. As a Boston native and life-long Red Sox fan Kevin can relate to Ann's suffering as a Cubs fan.

Heidi has a strong background in watershed issues wetlands, restoration ecology and natural resource management. She has worked as an environmental consultant and with Clean Water Services as their vegetated corridor program manager. Heidi has a Masters degree in Environmental Science from Washington State University and a BA from the University of Washington. She will be working on a mitigation bank for the North Reach of the Willamette with the Rivers Office and other BES program staff.
