"Please join us in either the morning session or evening session for a presentation and discussion on the proposed Willamette Falls National Heritage Area with Donovan Rypkema of PlaceEconomics.

"Donovan Rypkema has lectured widely on the economics of preservation. He is an expert in economic revitalization, community-based development, and feasibility analysis of historic rehabilitation. He has authored various publications, including "Community Initiated Development," "The Economics of Rehabilitation," and the "Downtown Real Estate Development Series." His book, The Economics of Historic Preservation: A Community Leader's Guide, is a standard for preservationists nationwide. Rypkema will share with us his knowledge of how communities can make the most of their NHA designations.

"After a short break, Coalition members will lead the audience in roundtable discussions about possible catalyst projects for the Willamette Falls National Heritage Area, including:

  • Access to the Falls
  • Arch Bridge Reopening Event
  • Signage
  • Nature Trails and Heritage Walks

"As an audience member, you will have the chance to tell us what you think we should accomplish with the proposed National Heritage Area.

"Please come tell us what you think! RSVP to info@wfheritage.org or click here."

This project has been funded in part by a grant from the Pacific Northwest Preservation Fund of the National Trust for Historic Preservation
