Holiday and Rose Festival Street and Sidewalk Use Restrictions

Every year, during the holiday season (from the Friday prior to Thanksgiving to January 2^nd ) and again during the Rose Festival activities (for 2009: May 28th through June 9th), Portland limits on-street parking and the opening, closing, or blocking of any roadway or sidewalk in the downtown and Lloyd Center core areas and some principle streets in other areas of Portland as identified on the moratorium map .  This limitation respects the needs of the local retail establishments that rely upon business during these periods.
