The City-Wide Green Team debuts next week!
Wed, May 13, 2009 4:32pm
The first meeting of Portland’s City-Wide Green Team will take place next week.
From neighborhood clean-ups and community gardens to “Trash to Treasure” events and neighborhood composting, Portland citizens are proving their commitment to sustainability all over town. Imagine what would be possible if we put all of those creative minds, neighborhood leaders and local resources in the same room.
The purpose of this group is to create a space where neighborhood leaders and citizens committed to sustainability can come together to share ideas and implement best green practices across Portland’s neighborhoods.
While city resources will be available in this group, this group will be citizen lead and maintained. Your input is valuable, and we encourage you to join us and bring your family, friends, coworkers and neighbors who are interested in collaborating to build a greener city!
When: Tuesday, May 19th / 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Where: Portland Building, Room C, 1120 SW 5th Ave, Portland OR 97204
