The Office of Film and Video works with filmmakers, representatives from city bureaus and other agencies to assist the production in having a successful experience and ensure city requirements and community needs are met.

Your Guide to Production in Portland

 

The following are required for all productions:

 

Production Application

Provides access to the webform to give us information about your project.

 

Business License Guide

Explains whether you need a Business License or if you qualify for an exemption and provides access to the forms and instructions.

Holiday and Rose Festival Street and Sidewalk Use Restrictions

Outlines restrictions in Portland's core area (in and around downtown area) during the Rose Festival (May 28th through June 9th) and during the holiday season (from the Friday prior to Thanksgiving until January 2nd).

 

City Permit Information

Explains city permitting and provides contact information.

Notification

Explains notification requirements and provides required form template.

Includes contact information for crew, talent, equipment, support services and weather and road conditions as well as for sunrise/sunset times, mileage between  cities, climate information and more provided by the OMPA (Oregon Media Production Association).

 

Online Searchable Location Photo Database of Portland and the Rest of Oregon

Vast searchable database provided by the GOFT (Governor's Office of Film & Television).  Local location scout and manager contact information available  in "Online Production Directory" above.

 

Also supplies information about Oregon state financial incentives administered through the GOFT (Governor's Office of Film & Television).
