December 1st is World AIDS Day and Cascade AIDS Project is organizing a candle light walk from CAP's Men's Wellness Center to City Hall that day. At City Hall, Mayor Adams will welcome the crowd and deliver a proclamation declaring December 1, 2009, World AIDS Day in the city of Portland.

AIDS and HIV continue to be a health concern in Oregon, with more than 7,000 citizens estimated to be living with HIV in the state. Since 1988, World AIDS Day has acted as an effort to raise awareness about the effects of HIV/AIDS in our communities and around the world.

Please join us for the candle light vigil or the reception at City Hall.
