Construction has begun on the Portland Streetcar Loop project. Currently, the contractor is relocating a water line that must be moved prior to installation of the streetcar tracks.
Approximately three blocks at a time will be under construction.
Work hours on Grand Avenue are typically 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. During work hours two lanes will be open to traffic. When work is not in progress there should be three lanes open through the work area.
Work has also begun on the East Burnside/Couch couplet project. Work is underway on SE Couch, and has affected traffic circulation. Local businesses are open and there is access to all businesses. Thank you for your patience during construction!
