Budget Mapping Instructions for FY 2011-12

The following budget mapping information and instructions are for bureau contacts. Similar to last year, bureaus will provide CIP and operating expense data and BTS will produce the maps. Maps will be circulated for your review. Bureau staff will produce Level of Service (LOS) maps with FPD guidance. Below is a link to last year's completed maps, which are posted for the public on the community budget website.

This includes the user's guide, the annexation map, the General Fund map, and the bureau maps.

 


Deadlines / Timeline for FY 2011-12

  • Updated FY 2011-12 CIP data for BTS citywide effort has been completed
  • Operating expense data to FPD by Tuesday October 18th
  • Bureaus and FPD to confirm Level of Service topic by Tuesday October 18th
  • Bureaus to complete Level of Service map by Thursday November 10th
  • Bureaus review draft CIP and operating expense maps late November
  • All budget maps completed by early to mid-December

Instructions for FY 2011-12 

 

1. Map Inventory
Mix of bureaus participating has changed. Please review list.
2. Operating Budget Maps
Operating expense maps will now exclude CIP components of program budgets.
3. CIP + Project Overlay Maps: Parks and PBOT only
CIP expense / projects maps will be produced by BTS with data uploaded by bureaus.
4. Background Data: posted for public view
Background data will be made available to the public.
5. Level of Service (LOS) Maps
Level of Service maps new for several bureaus.
6. Geographies
Geographic areas changing in FY 2012-13. Start preparing now.
