Location: Fire Training Center-Station 2 - Parkrose, 4800 NE 122nd Ave, Portland, OR
These workshops are designed to help members within 10 years of retirement ease into the financial and psychological transition toward retirement, each workshop includes presentations by FPDR, the City’s Benefits Division and Deferred Comp Social Security Administration and VEBA.
Topics will include:
• Health Insurance Issues
• Deferred Compensation
• Pension Calculations and Questions
• Social Security & Medicare
• VEBA
There is no charge to attend the workshop. Member may bring one guest at no additional charge. Minimum Workshop Attendance: 10. Maximum Workshop Attendance: 40. If the minimum is not met 30 days prior to the workshop, that workshop may be cancelled. The location for the workshop will be determined based upon class size and announced one week prior to the class.
