Mayor Charlie Hales hosted Andy David at Portland City Hall on Wednesday, Feb. 27. David is Israeli Consul General to the Pacific Northwest.

The meeting included representatives of Greater Portland Inc. and Yelena Giderman, commercial attaché for Israel.

Topics included commercial and business ties between Portland and Israel, as well as potential business and diplomatic trips to Israel.

David has served in the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and has served as a deputy head of mission in Azerbaijan, Hong Kong and for the consulate serving Chicago and the American Midwest.
