The Arts Education and Access Citizen Oversight Committee will hold its first meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, in the Eighth Floor Conference Room, Portland Revenue Bureau,111 S.W. Columbia St., Portland.

The meeting will focus on creating the organizational framework for the committee’s ongoing work. The meeting is open to the public.

Appointed by Portland City Council in December 2012, the independent committee is charged with monitoring the investments and impact of the Arts Education & Access Fund, Ballot Measure 26-146 on last November’s ballot.

The group of 20 volunteers consists of a wide range of people well versed in schools, arts non-profits, other oversight functions and fiscal responsibility. More than 35 Portland citizens applied for the opportunity and 20 were selected.
