Legislative Advocacy 101 Panel rescheduled for January 14th
The “Legislative Advocacy 101 Panel – Get Ready for the 2014 State Legislative Session” meeting has been rescheduled for Tuesday, January 14 from 6 to 8 pm in the Portland Buildings’ second floor auditorium. The event will preview the 2014 state legislative session and provide attendees with tips on how to be an effective advocate in the community or neighborhood. The previously scheduled meeting on December 10th was postponed due to the electrical outage in downtown Portland.
A panel of state legislators will share their tips on being an effective advocate and take questions about how the community can impact public policy during the upcoming state legislative session. State representatives Lew Frederick and Jessica Vega Pederson, Ty Schwoeffermann of the Urban League, and Abby Tibbs, district director for Congresswoman Suzanne Bonamici, will be on the panel.
