The City of Portland is in the process of updating our Comprehensive Plan. This document guides land use and development projects, and also addresses statewide planning goals such as Citizen Involvement, Environmental Protection, Economic Development, Housing, etc. For the first time, Equity and Health will be major elements, based on the adopted Portland Plan.
So how does it work, and why does it matter? Because now is your chance to help write the rules that will guide development and livability in your neighborhood for the next twenty years. The Bureau of Planning and Sustainability is leading the process, and has prepared proposals for your review. Please participate and comment.
