Thanks to Luke, a retired high school economics teacher from Wisconsin who I met at yesterday's Northeast Coalition of Neighbors fundraiser dinner, for directing my attention to the TriMet budget questions site. In an email from TriMet:
As you may have heard, TriMet is facing a $12 to $17 million budget shortfall. Tough budget choices are ahead and we want to know what’s most important to you and your community. We created this discussion guide trimet.org/choices because we want you to be aware of our funding issues and the challenges they present.
Apart from the unsupported value statement regarding "unsustainable" health care costs for Union employees, this survey has a lot of data, and at the end allows suggestions other than those presented. I urge you to give your input.
