I have an immediate opportunity to nominate a volunteer to serve on the City's new Technology Oversight Committee.  This group is being established to oversee large or complex technology purchases and upgrades.  Details here (pdf)

I also expect to nominate two replacement members for the 2011 Charter Commission, due to resignations of previous members who I nominated.  The City Attorney has advised the Council to prepare an ordinance to specify when vacancies exist and how vacancies will be filled, since the Charter is silent on those questions.  I would like to hear from anyone interested in serving on this Charter Commission, while the ordinance is being prepared under the leadership of Mayor Adams.  Please email me, using the subject Charter Commission Volunteer for your message, telling me why you are interested and how you can contribute to the Commission's work.

My assistant, Milena, has provided staff support to the Commission for the past six months.  Commissioner Dan Saltzman has volunteered to provide staffing for the Commission as of July 1.
