Vacation week (mostly) - Out of the office Monday (mostly), Wednesday (mostly), Thursday and Friday

* Phone call with Brian Hoop, Office of Neighborhood Involvement, regarding Boards and Commissions demographic data 

* Tour Markham Elementary School regarding proposed Portland Public Schools construction bond

* Serve Turkey Dinner at Open Meadow Middle School

* Drop-in meetings with Commissioner Fish, Commissioner Leonard, Commissioner Saltzman, and Warren Jiminez, the Mayor's Deputy Chief of Staff, regarding appointments to Charter Commission

* Monthly meeting with Lisa Turley, Director of the Bureau of Emergency Communications (by phone due to icy roads)

* Baby shower with ONI staff for Amy Archer

* Monthly meeting with Amalia Alarcon de Morris, Director of the Office Neighborhood Involvement

* Phone calls with Mayor Adams, Office of Neighborhood Involvement and Office of Human Relations staff, my office staff, Kayse Jama of the Center for Intercultural Organizing, and US Attorney Dwight Holton, regarding the FBI arrest of a suspected terrorist near Pioneer Courthouse Square

* Press conference at City Hall, Solidarity with Somali leaders and other community members

Dinners with Family: All - woo hoo!  Icy weather has some positive outcomes, it seems.
