Last Sunday, I participated in the National Alliance for Mental Illness (NAMI) Walk around the Esplanade. I've done it several times before with colleagues from OHSU, and with City staff who had friends suffering from mental illness. This year, I got to give the kickoff speech and cut the ribbon. So fun!
We had 1,602 walkers show up to support NAMI - nearly 500 more than last year, and many who joined us for the first time.
