I love Portland's neighborhood parades.  They bring people together and celebrate our wonderful communities and neighborhood business districts.  Last month was the 82nd Avenue of Roses Parade, documented with photographs in this article on EastPDXNews.com by editor (and janitor) David Ashton. 

Yesterday, a beautiful day in St. Johns - made even better by buying my first-of-the-season fresh strawberry shake at the St. Johns Burgerville from one of my Madison High School student friends.
