DDoraora Perry, Senior Policy Analyst, brings a passion for social justice and community activism to Commissioner Fritz’s Office. She is our liaison to the Bureau of Development ServicesHer desire for social justice, equity and inclusion moved her to play a key role in the establishment of the Office of Equity & Human Rights, including serving as its Interim Director.  Originally from Nigeria, she worked in programs covering housing and community development, human rights, and public health in Portland for many years.  Dora started out as a Service Coordinator with the Housing Authority of Portland (now Home Forward) and then went on to serve as the manager for the Wells Fargo Mortgage Lending Center.  She coordinated anti-crime and neighborhood reclamation programs for Operation Weed & Seed, a Department of Justice initiative.  As the Programs and Operations Director of the African American Health Coalition she worked to address health disparities. She also implemented human rights programs at the Metropolitan Human Rights Center for the City of Portland. Dora is a graduate of the University of Washington (go Huskies!!) and completed graduate studies in Urban Planning at Portland State University, with concentration in Housing and Community Development.   She is a former Commissioner of the Oregon Commission on Black Affairs, past President of the African Women’s Coalition, and past Vice President of the Center for Intercultural Organizing.
