Village Gardens' Farmers Market - May 20, 2014

Try some nutritious produce with an international flair!

This summer, Village Gardens’ Farmers Market is back for its second season.  Once again, the market will have locally-grown, organic, seasonal, and cultural produce for sale.

The Farmers Market provides an international flair with produce from gardeners from all over the world -- including the Congo, Mexico, Burundi, and of course, Portland.  Your taste buds will have an adventure trying the unique variety of vegetables, such as Amaranth leaf, African eggplant, or spicy chili pepper.

For those who are too hungry to wait to go home and cook your fresh produce, there will be food vendors with delicious Ethiopian and Mexican cuisine.

The Village Gardens’ Farmers Market is open every Thursday, from July 10 through August 28.  It’s a great way to support your community while feeding your family healthy, unique, and locally grown veggies.
