Last night, Nick was proud to attend Venture Portland’s Annual Board Meeting at Wilf’s Restaurant in Northwest Portland.
Venture Portland helps our neighborhood small businesses – the backbone of our local economy – thrive.
Nick has been Council liaison to Venture Portland for almost a year. Last night’s annual meeting was a great opportunity to talk with Board members about the progress we’ve made so far.
The partnership helped increase the Owners Compensation Deduction by almost $10,000 - helping small businesses keep more of their money during tax season.
Nick has also worked with Venture Portland to better connect City bureaus with businesses so they know when big construction projects are scheduled in their neighborhoods. Improving the coordination of construction projects helps lighten the disruption that can have a big impact on small businesses.
