POL Government Elected Officials Commissioner Nick Fish
Council responds to proposed takeover of Water and Environmental Services bureaus - July 18, 2013

Today, lobbyists John DiLorenzo and Kent Craford announced a proposal to take over our community’s water and sewer services.

Mayor Hales, my fellow Council members and I are united in opposing this misguided effort.

We believe this proposal fails a basic test: it does not advance accountability, transparency, or responsible stewardship.

In fact, I believe it represents the most serious threat to the Bull Run Watershed in over 115 years.
