This Saturday, enjoy one of our fabulous state parks during Oregon Parks & Recreation’s State Parks Day!
State Parks Day began in 1998 and is held on the first Saturday in June every year. On State Parks Day all tent, RV, and horse camp sites are free, plus free day-use parking at any state park throughout Oregon.
The State Parks Day theme this year is “Let’s Go,” in honor of the Let’s Go program started by Friends of Tryon Creek. The Let’s Go program offers low-cost introductory family camping in the Portland area.
For a full list of State Parks Day events visit the Oregon State Parks website. To register for a Let’s Go program, call (888) 953-7677. You must be 18 years or older to register for an event.
Have fun this Saturday exploring an old or new favorite Oregon park!
