Join Nick, community members, and partners on Saturday at the grand opening of the new Helensview Community Garden!
Helensview is the 46th community garden in Portland, and adds 450 new plots for community members to grow their own food.
The garden is part of our 1,000 Gardens initiative, launched in 2009. This garden is the first developed in partnership between the Parkrose School District and Portland Community Gardens program. The Gardens program has provided gardening opportunities for the physical and social benefit for Portland neighborhoods since 1975.
Come celebrate with us this Saturday, March 9, beginning at noon. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
